In 2009 and early 2010, SIU has introduced "scenario planning" as one methodology for peace negotiation and reconciliation in Thailand crisis. Our main output is the book Think Tank and the seminar Seminar "Get Over Thailand Conflict", also Online TV program and several article published.

This week, Adam Kahane, a scenario expert who successfully brought this methodology into South Africa during 90s, comes to Thailand for observing and studying Thailand's political situation. SIU was invited by organizer for two of Kahane's sessions.

4 August 2010 - Isriya Paireepairit, SIU's ICT consultant, participated in The Telecommunications Consumer Institute (TCI) seminar on the price structure of mobile tariffs in Thailand.

The seminar took place at The Office of National Telecommunications Commission. The panelists include Dr. Somkiat Tangkitvanich from TDRI, Dr. Pracha Koonnathamdee from Thammasat University and the Director of TCI.

The seminar receives some coverage from Thai media e.g. Post Today.

21 July 2010 - Kan Yuenyong, SIU Director, had a presentation at Thai Netizen Network seminar "3 Years Computer Crime Act" at Novotel Siam Square.

The event has more than 50 attendances. Kan's topic is "Cyber Citizen's Migration" discussing the movement of online political interest groups in Thailand during crisis.

SIU, owner of Thailand Political Base, joining with Faculty of Political Science at Chulalongkorn University and other partners, forming "Thailand Political Database" project.

Charoenchai Chaipaiboonwong, SIU Strategist, joined Ignite Bangkok 2010 as one of speakers. Ignite is the event for 'inspiration'. Speaker gets 5 minutes time span and the slideshow play automatically every 20 seconds.

Ignite Bangkok 2010 was held between 3-4 March at TCDC. More than 100 people attended.

SIU representatives were invited by Strategic Studies Center, National Defence Studies Institute to presented at the seminar titled "Information Operation: Threat to National Security".

15 Feb 2010 — SIU team were invited to MOU signing ceremony between Strategic Studies Center, National Defence Studies Institute and Asia Studies Institute, Chulalongkorn University.

10 Feb 2010 — SIU team were invited to Digital Media Asia 2010 Launch Dinner at Grand Ballroom, Centara Grand Hotel.

Digital Media Asia 2010 is the project by Software Industry Promotion Agency and the Ministry of ICT. It is a series of campaign focusing on digital media industry, including games, film & music, and animation. It is part of Royal Thai Government's "Creative Economy" initiative and is funded by Stimulus Package 2 ("Thai Kemkhang") budget for 200 million baht.

28 January 2010, Siam Intelligence Unit, in conjunction with Friedrich Naumann Foundation and The Faculty of Political Science at Chulalongkorn University, organized the public seminar "ก้าวข้าวความขัดแย้งสังคมไทย" (Get Over Thailand Conflict) at Choompot-Pantip Room, PrajadhipokขRambhai Barni Building, Faculty of Political Science, Chulalongkorn University.

Isriya Paireepairit, SIU's IT Consultant, participated in National Electronics and Computer Technology Center (NECTEC) forum on Thai Internet Users Survey 2009.
