SIU Presented at ThaiNetizen's 3 Years Computer Crime Act

The event has more than 50 attendances. Kan's topic is "Cyber Citizen's Migration" discussing the movement of online political interest groups in Thailand during crisis.
Rethinking Media Reform and Integrated Media Policy Reform 2010-2020
Submitted by admin on 6 July, 2010 - 14:23 inIn 2009, SIU team as the committee of Thai Netizen Network conducted the internet part of research project "Rethinking Media Reform and Integrated Media Policy Reform 2010-2020". This project is the joint research on 4 kinds of media in the future: printed, film, broadcast and internet. The other partners are Thai Film Foundation, Campaign for Popular Media Reform and the Faculty of Communication Art, Chulalongkorn University.
Now the final research outcome is published into a book called "Rethinking Media Reform and Integrated Media Policy Reform 2010-2020". The digital copy should be available soon. This project was sponsored by Heinrich Böll Foundation.

Karn Yuenyong, director of the independent Siam Intelligence Unit think tank, said financial sanctions on protest leaders, censorship of "red shirt" media and the beginning of the rice-planting season meant there would be no quick return to the streets.
